Receipts
Open them from Snap or see receipts on Today or on Reports.
Snap it, and carry on
Tap Snap a receipt: Muster's own camera opens (allow it the first time). Tap Take. The first time, or on a phone without a camera Muster can open, your phone's own picker opens instead. Choose a photo or PDF takes one you already have. The photo is kept on the phone at once and sent when there is a signal - with no signal it waits, and nothing is lost - and Muster goes back to where you were. Muster reads it on its own box, usually within a minute, longer when its local AI has to look too; when it is read a banner says Receipt read: Soriana, 863.14 MXN - check it. Tap it to check. If Muster is in the background and you allowed its notifications (Settings, the lock screen clock), the phone says it too.
Check what was read
Tap the receipt. The photo is on the left - tap it to see it full size and pinch to zoom - and every field is on the right, each saying where it came from:
| It says | Meaning |
|---|---|
| read 93% | printed on the receipt, and how sure the reading is |
| AI suggests | printed on the receipt, read by Muster's own AI - check it |
| from your hours | the job you clocked that day; a day of two jobs is split by the hours |
| from where you were | the currency and country, from your stay that day or your home |
| HMRC 2026-10, ECB 2026-10-09 | the exchange rates; the claim uses HMRC's, and the gap to the day's rate is shown |
| not found | nothing to show - type it if you know it |
If it is right, tap Yes, correct - only then is it recorded. If not, tap Edit, change what is wrong and Save. A receipt that could not be read stays under Unallocated with its photo, and opens with every field empty to type.
Send it to Concur
Parked on 13 October 2026, while Muster's own receipt reading comes first: it works as written here, and is not being taken further for now.
If your company's Concur takes receipts by email, a confirmed receipt has Send to Concur. Your phone's share sheet opens with the photo and its facts - merchant, date, amount, the pounds and the rate used, project, purpose. Pick your mail app and send it from the address your Concur knows; Concur matches the sender. The address, [email protected], is on the first line and copied, ready to paste in To. Muster sends the camera's original, or its 2200 px copy when the original is over 10 MB or a kind Concur does not read, and says which. Then the receipt says Sent to Concur, 12 Oct 2026 - handed to your mail app: Muster cannot see whether Concur got it. A second tap asks Send it again? first; if another phone had sent it already, the receipt says Concur may have it twice. A phone that cannot share a photo offers Download the photo and Open the mail instead - attach the photo before sending. Another company's address goes under Sending to Concur on the receipts screen.
Itemise a hotel bill
Snap the hotel's itemised bill (the folio), not only the card slip. Muster reads its lines - each night's room, the taxes, laundry, meals, the bar - and shows them under the receipt in Itemise the hotel bill, each saying read or AI suggests. Change any line, remove one, Add a line, and tick personal - do not claim on the bar or minibar. The lines must add up to the receipt to the penny; then Yes, correct (or Save itemisations on a receipt already recorded) keeps them. Personal lines are taken off your claim. If the bill charges more room nights than Muster has you away on those dates, it says so - a check only. When you leave a hotel, Muster asks once: Leaving the hotel? Ask for the itemised bill and snap it - tap it to open the camera.
Where receipts show
On Reports, the Expenses card says what you have to claim for the pay cycle shown. On the Log, each receipt is a line under its day - tap it to see it. On Reports by job, a job's receipts are beside its hours. They are shown, never added to your hours or pay.
What is kept
The photo, and later the camera's original as the evidence; what was read, apart from what you confirmed or typed, with when. A card number is never kept - only its last four digits. A receipt with no VAT number on it is marked VAT not shown. Your claim for the period shows on Reports, beside your hours and pay and never added into them.
